This is what my kids wore to school today instead of costumes. The younger two were not allowed to wear them and Buddy's wasn't finished yet. So I found $2 shirts and small pieces of fabric and made some designs using my Cameo. The kids were excited to wear these!

fall photo shoot
I forgot how hard it can be to get all three kids smiling and looking at the camera at the same time. It was windy and cold out. But it was also the first time the sun was out all week! I meant to take pictures with the kids in these shirts back in June, but life got busy.

in which there were green eggs
Buddy and Sunshine got to have green eggs and ham at school today in order to help celebrate Dr. Seuss. Turtle was jealous, so I made him some as well. Although I cheated a little. That's bacon, not ham.

in which they wear Valentine's Day shirts
I love giving my kids surprises now and then. Holidays are good for this. This morning my kids woke up to a new shirt, a new book and a box of candy hearts. Just because I'm awesome like that. Just before the bus pulled up, I snapped a few pictures because I knew they wouldn't stay clean all day. (check out the boards on the mantle that Turtle and I made!)
And yes, I "HAD" to take a funny face picture of these two. They are so demanding!

in which we make lots of cookies
I had a cookie decorating party today. I made 10 dozen sugar cookies. Maybe it was 9 dozen, I didn't really keep track. I just know I made three batches and got at least 12 cookies on each cookie sheet and had three cookie sheets full per batch. You do the math. Okay, okay, I'll do the math, so that makes at least 108 cookies. I had some friends over who brought their kids and we had so much fun! So much so, that I forgot to take pictures. I did get pictures of my kids decorating when they got home from school though. They were beyond happy to have cookies to decorate!

in which they are by the apple tree
I am so glad my kids choose to humor me occasionally, especially when I dress them up and make them pose for pictures. I have them posed with their 'hobbies' this time. And I just love how wonderfully colorful apples are, so they are in our side yard of all places. None of these are photoshopped, I was just eager to post something for all y'all.

in which we climbed on trains
We have a train museum in town. It used to be a junk yard and in the past year or two the workers have been slowly fixing up the trains, building new tracks, and trying to see if they can run the trains between two cities for a small fee, so people can know what a train ride feels like. They let the kids explore everything. And so mine did.
