Having fruit trees is very new to us.  We have no idea how to prune or when to pick our apples. So as apples continually started falling down, we decided it was probably time to pick them off the tree.  We spent a Sunday afternoon picking our apples, just to find out many of them were already bad.  Next year we will pick them sooner.

Halloween.  Such a fun time of the year.  We had fun dressing up this year.  The kids got to choose their costumes, because I'm awesome like that.  Turtle is a robot.  Sunshine is a butterfly.  Buddy is the king of the mummies.  And Dad and I are mimes, which are scary but not as scary as clowns.

 We had a chili feed at the church.  It's always fun to have one of those.  However, the chili I made turned into some kind of industrial strength glue, so I had to leave it at home.  I didn't want to kill anyone. 

 After dinner there was trick-or-treating around the church and game playing.

Here is Dad being all silly after coming home.  We sent him home to pass out candy, while I took the kids from house to house for the first time ever!  I was so nice, yet again.

 And since we finally live in a house, we actually took the time to decorate!  Dad had some great ideas, as did I, and I think it looked awesome.  We were the only festive house on our block and the kids endured downpours to come and get candy.
